We are proud to announce that CEOC has been selected as the recipient of the Cambridge Community Foundation's first-ever Making Good Award!
The award was presented at Cambridge Community Foundation's annual nonprofit celebration, held at Street Theory Collective and attended by nonprofit leaders, community partners, and civic leaders from across Cambridge. The Making Good Award honors a Cambridge nonprofit that is "doing vital and outstanding community service work" and reflects the Foundation's core values of dignity, equity and justice, collaboration, creativity, and imagination.
In announcing the award, Cambridge Community Foundation President Geeta Pradhan described CEOC as an organization that listens deeply to the people it serves, adapts when the community shows a better way, values partnership, and believes that dignity matters in everything it does. She highlighted CEOC's 60-year history of responding to urgent community needs while working to address the systems and conditions that create poverty.
The award also includes a $10,000 unrestricted grant, which will help support our ongoing work. We were honored to celebrate this recognition alongside dozens of other Cambridge nonprofits and the recipients of CCF's Imagined in Cambridge Social Innovation Awards. The evening was a powerful reminder of the creativity, resilience, and commitment that exist throughout our community.
We are deeply grateful for our longstanding partnership with Cambridge Community Foundation. Their steadfast support, commitment to innovation, and dedication to building a more equitable Cambridge have strengthened our work for many years. We are honored to receive this inaugural award and share this recognition with our staff, board members, partners, supporters, and—most importantly—the community members who inspire and guide our work every day.
