We are thrilled to announce that Cambridge Economic Opportunity Committee (CEOC) was honored at the Cambridge Community Development Week Celebration on April 12th. This event recognized the impact of Cambridge nonprofits and their work that is supported by federal grants, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). We are humbled to be recognized among such esteemed organizations, and we would like to express our gratitude to the City of Cambridge Community Development Department (CDD) and the Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) for administering these crucial grant programs.
CEOC is proud to be a part of the CDBG program and to be able to make a meaningful impact in our community. The program was created in the 1970s to more efficiently distribute resources directly to the communities where the funds were to be utilized, and we believe that it has been successful in achieving its goals. Our organization is committed to benefiting low and moderate-income residents, minorities, and other disenfranchised segments of the population, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue doing so through our work with the CDBG program.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Cambridge Human Services Commission and all those involved in the Cambridge Community Development Week Celebration for recognizing the important work of Cambridge nonprofits. We look forward to continuing to work together to make a positive impact in our community.
